INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS: If individual guest are to make their own reservations, they must call the Hotel directly at 405-964-7777 and identify themselves as members of Oklahoma City Area Inter-Tribal Health. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. The Grand Casino Hotel Resort strongly suggests you not use your bank debit card to guarantee, as your bank (not the hotel) will take a deposit and hold it until your departure. The Hotel does not take cash deposits however you may pay with cash at check out.
A valid credit card must be presented by the guest along with a valid ID at check in.

Oklahoma City Area Inter-Tribal Health Board
announces company name change to
Southern Plains Tribal Health Board
Oklahoma City, OK, January 27, 2016: As of January 21, 2016, the Oklahoma City Area Inter-Tribal Health Board began operating under the new name Southern Plains Tribal Health Board. As part of the rebranding, the organization has also unveiled a new logo and tagline, and in the near future will be redesigning its website.

The Southern Plains Tribal Health Board (SPTHB), formerly the Oklahoma City Area Inter-Tribal Health Board (OCAITHB), is a non-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The board was established in 1972 to provide a unified voice for the 43 federally recognized tribes located in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Board membership includes representatives from the 12 service units in the Indian Health Service Oklahoma City Area.
Mission: A partnership of Oklahoma City Area tribes uniting to improve the health and quality of life of Native American communities through advocacy and education with federal, state and local entities while maintaining tribal sovereign rights.
Vision: The Oklahoma City Area Inter-Tribal Health Board will lead the way to improved quality of life for Native Americans through expanded partnerships with tribes and stakeholders.
Values: We provide competent services at all levels of the organization. We respect one another, recognize that our success depends upon the commitment, capabilities and diversity of our employees and Board members. Tribal Epidemiology Center Best Practices Report
A collaboration between all Tribal Epidemiology Centers across the nation, including the Oklahoma Tribal Epidemiology Center, has created a report highlighting success of various TEC’s. The TEC’s as a group are working together for the betterment of the health of American Indian and Alaska Native people living in a variety of settings in the United States.
